While Balvin’s news sparked enthusiasm among his fans, he added a tone of anticipation by noting that the song’s release is still pending, leaving everyone impatiently awaiting its premiere.
After Balvin and BTS met at the Grammy Awards in 2022, speculation about their musical collaboration began. Many people question if this occurrence initiated the partnership between the two artists. With BTS members slated to complete their military responsibilities and expected to return in 2025, it is unclear whether the song will be released during or after their sabbatical.
During the Instagram live session, Balvin alluded to his studio sessions with BTS, where they recorded vocals for a song before the group’s military service. However, the actual release date is unknown, and Balvin is unsure whether the single will ever be exposed. Despite the ambiguity, fans continue to assume that the partnership will be revealed when BTS returns from military service.
The idea of a collaboration has been floating around for some time, spurred by contacts between J Balvin and BTS members. During an interview in 2023, BTS’s youngest member, Jungkook, revealed a curiosity in cooperating with Latin musicians such as Becky G, Rosalia, and J Balvin.
Further fuelling conjecture, Balvin posted an Instagram story showcasing Jungkook’s hit ‘SEVEN,’ as well as a humorous image of himself and his dog Enzo captioned “Jungkook en la vibra,” which translates to “Jungkook on the vibe.”
Despite these hints and interactions, there has been no official confirmation of the collaboration materializing.
