Nagpur, 16th Feb :
The grand Kumbh Mela, showcasing the essence of Sanatan culture, is currently taking place in Prayagraj. Such a magnificent confluence of faith is unparalleled anywhere in the world. For thousands of years, this sacred gathering has reflected human civilization and culture. Devotees from different castes, languages, and sects come together at the Kumbh Mela, making it a true symbol of social unity, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
He was speaking at the ‘Mahakumbh Prayag Yog’ event organized at Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur.
So far, over 500 million devotees have taken a holy dip at the Kumbh Mela. For those who could not visit Prayagraj, water from the sacred Sangam has been brought to Nagpur. This initiative was taken to allow devotees to experience the spiritual essence of the Kumbh Mela, the Chief Minister stated.
Millions of devotees have bathed at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the Mahakumbh over the years. However, for those unable to make the journey, the holy water was brought to Nagpur via Ramtek. The ‘Mahakumbh Prayag Yog’ event was organized to facilitate this sacred experience.
The event was attended by Justice (Retd.) Sunil Shukre, Rajesh Loya, Amey Hete, and other dignitaries from The Satsang Foundation, Nagpur Chapter.
